Ideally fish should be prepared on the day of purchase. However, if the following rules are applied, it can also be stored in the refrigerator without hesitation:
Fresh fish
Fresh fish should be placed in a glass or a porcelain dish, covered with foil and put into the refrigerator. Bought fish must not remain in the packaging, but be stored in a neutral container immediately after purchasing.
Smoked fish
Smoked fish is processed in a natural, traditional and careful way which allows it to be kept longer. It can be stored for several days in the refrigerator without hesitation.
Fish salads
Fish salads, prepared with or without preservatives, are to be stored in the refrigerator. Only fish salads without preservatives are offered at NORDSEE. |
